Agy Farmer b.1997
by.agy is the alias I use as an artist creating surface and clothing textile pieces, as well as drawing, prints and mixed media studies. I graduated in 2019 from Winchester School of Art with a Fashion and Textile BA,
having my passion for clothing and drawing fuelled by my mum and granny ever since I can remember. by.agy is a place for creating one-off artworks whether on antique paper and placed in a frame or using silk organza and worn on the body. Inspiration is drawn from early 20th century literary and artistic figures, their work and personal stories; frequently centering around female and queer narratives.

I use only natural, vintage and deadstock materials with a strong focus on sustainability; dyeing with handmade, natural concoctions and creating pieces that will be cherished and passed onto others as a beautiful statement against fast fashion. I'm passionate about personal identity and the stories we can wear, whilst looking after the planet and the inspiration nature gives us.

I also offer bespoke commissions. If you see something you like that inspires an idea

Press, collaboration, and bespoke inquiries welcome. I'm based in the South West of England, working and exploring between my current home in Frome, Somerset and the New Forest where I grew up.
